Tom Driscoll of Richmond snapped this unusually precise wildlife warning along U.S. 522, just northwest of Culpeper.
"Need for such precision is rather uncertain, and it doesn't convert to any round number in metric, feet or yards," Driscoll reports. "Doesn't correspond to distance between any side roads, top of one hill to another, etc. But it is just up the road from a VDOT service yard, and perhaps someone there has a sense of humor."
