Virginia State Police are investigating a traffic wreck that killed an Arlington man on Interstate 295 in Hanover County.
Aguilar Daniel Cabrera, 31, was killed Friday just before 7 p.m. when his vehicle ran off northbound I-295 and into the median near the Mechanicsville exit. The vehicle hit an embankment, skidded sideways and struck a tree on the driver's side. Cabrera died at the scene.
State police are investigating the possibility that the wreck was the result of a hit-and-run and are asking anyone who might have witnessed the crash to call state police at (804) 553-3445.
