Webb: cease government -directed diversity programs

Sen. Jim Webb is arguing for the elimination of government -directed diversity programs, saying in their present-day form that they have expanded “so far beyond their original purpose that they now favor anyone who does not happen to be white.”
It’s a provocative editorial that ran in the Wall Street Journal from the Democrat senator expected to run for re-election in 2012, and likely against the man he beat in 2006, former Gov. and U.S. Sen. George Allen.
