McEachin Interfaith Legislator of the Year

By: Jim Nolan
Published: November 15, 2010 4:22 PM

State Sen. A Donald McEachin (D-Henrico) has been named “Legislator of the Year” Award by the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy.

Rev. Doug Smith, the President and CEO of the Virginia Interfaith Center, said, “Senator McEachin is a natural choice for Legislator of the Year because of his strong and relevant voice on issues of economic and environmental justice.”

McEachin, a lawyer and former delegate elected to the senate in 2008, might have had an “in” with the interfaith group from the man upstairs. He’s a preacher—a 2008 graduate of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology.

“I only hope I can continue to live up to their faith in me,” he said in a statement.

Congratulations to Senator McEachin!

Does this mean that State Sen. A Donald McEachin (D-Henrico) believes in Black Liberation Theology.  In case some are not aware of this just remember Rev Wright.  A theology that distorts the word of God to promote their ideology.  Seems the Better Buisness Bureau has some issues with this organization.  I would recommend the State Senator find a more reputable church organization then this one to receive awards from.
