For Warner, this food fight isn’t political

Mark Warner, Virginia’s junior U.S. senator, says there’s a lot about politics that’s hard to stomach.
But here’s something the self-styled “radical centrist” is prepared to swallow: an appearance on a cooking-competition show.

Warner, an info-tech gazillionaire, fancies himself a foodie. He’s even invested some of his lucre in a high-end eatery in Alexandria, The Majestic.
As for Warner’s forthcoming gig on Bravo’s “Top Chef,” the Democrat appears on an episode that was recorded in April at The Palm, a favorite steak parlor of Washington’s power elite.
According to Warner spokesman Kevin Hall, the boss signed an agreement not say a word about the winner of the cook-off that airs next week.
