Anybody who took Ryan Newman to win this race, congratulations. You had me beat. By a mile.

I didn’t see this one coming, even during the final restart. I saw Newman and Kurt Busch right there, but I also saw Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch, and figured that was the group to watch. Silly me.

Newman at least has an appreciation of the race, of the history, and of what he just accomplished. And I couldn’t be happier for Roy McCauley, who has dealt with not only his wife’s cancer battle, but also being berated by Kurt Busch for the part of last year when he was Busch’s crew chief.

A great showing by Roger Penske’s Dodges, which weren’t even in the conversation before tonight.
