W&M vs. JMU football preview

The weather forecast of periods of rain in Harrisonburg today could dampen the hopes of a potential high-scoring shootout in this Colonial Athletic Association showdown between top-ranked James Madison and No. 12 William and Mary.
W&M depends heavily on the passing of quarterback Jake Phillips, and the rainy and windy conditions are expected to affect his throws. The Tribe still has speedy tailback Jonathan Grimes, who ranks first in the league in all-purpose yardage (172 yards), including 92 on the ground.
The Dukes, meanwhile, are expected to lean on quarterback Rodney Landers, who leads the conference in rushing (124 yds) if the weather deteriorates as the afternoon goes on. Kickoff is 1:30. Check back later for a halftime update.
