The forecast for high school football games tomorrow is a 60 percent chance of showers, with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s. You’ll need an umbrella and wet weather gear to survive the elements, which could also include some wind. While most of the games will probably be played, some may be postponed if the forecast changes for the worse. Check back at inRich.com tomorrow afternoon for updates.
For those who might be traveling with the top-ranked University of Richmond football team to Villanova, Pa., for Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. kickoff, rain is in the forecast there for most of the day, although it might taper off later in the afternoon. Temperatures should be in the low 70s for kickoff but falling before game’s end. Rain gear will likely be an essential part of everyone’s wardrobe.
Second-ranked James Madison heads to Orono, Maine, where the forecast calls for a 90 percent chance of rain and wind, with a high of 60 degrees. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
In Lincoln, Nebraska, where Virginia Tech faces the Cornhuskers Saturday night, the forecast is for dry conditions and temperatures in the 70s by kickoff at 7 p.m. local time.
In Dallas on Sunday, when the Redskins rekindle their rivalry with the Cowboys, it’s expected to be around 90 degrees at kickoff at 3:15 p.m. local time and no chance of rain.
