With the high-school playoff games set for Saturday afternoon rather than Friday night, be prepared for temperatures in the mid-40s with plenty of sunshine. Perfect football weather!
In Williamsburg, where No. 7 Richmond battles No. 16 William and Mary in the renewal of a century-old rivalry, temps are expected to top out in the mid-40s. Kickoff is at noon.
Top-ranked James Madison travels to Towson, Md., for a CAA meeting with the Tigers and should find temperatures in the upper 30s and windy conditions for the 1 p.m. kickoff.
In Blacksburg, where Virginia Tech plays host to Duke, the forecast calls for temps in the low 30s by the 5:30 kickoff and falling into the 20s before the ACC contest is over.
Meanwhile, the University of Virginia meets Clemson in another ACC game, with temps expected to be close to 40 in Charlottesville for the noon kickoff and rising into the mid-40s before it’s over.
On Sunday, the Washington Redskins are in Seattle to battle the Seahawks at Qwest Field, and the forecast is for a high in the upper 40s and partly cloudy skies. No rain is anticipated.
