VCU looks a little better, but it’s not helping much

There’s a shoe problem at VCU, where T.J. Gwynn lost his and had to hobble down the court with it only half on. The previous trip down the floor, UAB’s Reggie Huffman had lost his as well, but he lucked into a dead-ball period where he could slip it back on.
VCU can’t get its footing against UAB, period. The Rams are now 10 of 34 for the game, 5 of 16 on 3-pointers, with 10 turnovers and seven assists. They do have four blocks.
