Top Fuel
Points leader Tony Schumacher has advanced to the semifinals, where he will face Morgan Lucas. Schumacher’s closest competitor in terms of points is now Hillary Will. Since Will is also in the semis (where she races Doug Herbert), Schumacher will not be able to clinch the Top Fuel title until at least Las Vegas.

Funny Car
Tim Wilkerson, atop the points, has advanced to the semifinals, where he will face pole-sitter Cruz Pedregon. Melanie Troxel and husband Tommy Johnson Jr. were one win each from facing each other, but both fell in the second round. Jack Beckman, now second in points by himself behind Wilkerson faces Ron Capps in the other semi.

Pro Stock
We haven’t seen the high speeds we did yesterday afternoon. Jeg Coughlin Jr. advanced to the semifinals when he ousted Mike Edwards. He’ll face Johnny Gray. In the other matchup, Greg Anderson meets Dave Connolly. Connolly, by the way, used a .001 reaction time to holeshot Kurt Johnson in the second round.
