Tyrod Taylor on his phone conversation with Michael Vick

During quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s press conference at today’s media day, colleague Norm Wood of the Daily Press asked Taylor if he and Michael Vick had spoken since Vick got out of federal prison last month. Taylor said that yes, he had spoken to Vick, the quarterback whose highlight-reel plays helped put Tech on the national map in 1999.

“We talked over the phone,“ Taylor said. “He just told me that this was a big season for me and just to go out there and have fun and don’t too much pressure on myself. It’s still the game of football and just go out there and play like I’ve been playing since I was little.“

The current Virginia Tech quarterback spoke on the phone with the former Hokies star after Vick got out of prison.
