The “Your Name Here” 400 contest nears a conclusion

Crown Royal is going much bigger with the unveiling of the winner of the second annual “Your Name Here” 400 for Richmond International Raceway.

Last year, 10 finalists were chosen and Crown Royal driver Jamie McMurray spun a wheel at Daytona to select Jim Stewart as the first winner. This time around, it will be done in Las Vegas and on a much larger scale.

Crown Royal has announced the two finalists—- Tim Weiland of De Pere, Wis., and Dan Lowry of New Waterford, Ohio. Those in charge know who is the winner, but the finalists don’t. They’ll be taken up in a helicopter over the Vegas Strip on Feb. 28 on their way to a desert mosaic which will reveal the race logo with the winner’s name. The other finalist will receive a new car.

We’ll have the announcement as soon as it’s given, and we’ll have it up on http://www.timesdispatch.com immediately thereafter.
