TD Olympics Blog: Update on Beijing murder of volleyball coach’s inlaws
Jay Weiner, Olympics correspondent
Aug 11, 2008

I don’t know if I explained earlier that I live most of the time - when I’m not in China - in St. Paul, MN. It’s a long story about how I got the honor of working for the TD, but the bottom line is: I’m not from Virginia.

When the awful attack on tourists occurred Saturday in Beijing, I got early wind that the victims might be Minnesotans. Besides working for the TD in Beijing, I’m working for other outlets, including the fledgling MinnPost.com, which is competing with the two newspapers in the Twin Cities.

Here’sMcCutcheon to what I wrote today about U.S. volleyball coach Hugh McCutcheon’s interview today with a handful of reporters, including yours truly.

I was working on this story and a few others today, so that’s why this blog was a bit quiet.

More activity tomorrow, I promise.
