Stewart pays up, back hair pays price

I will warn you, this blog is not for those with weak hearts (or stomachs). Read on at your own risk.
Tony Stewart had promised Kevin Harvick if Harvick raised $100,000 for the Victory Junction Gang Camp, Stewart would have his famously-hairy back waxed. That time came last night, and some “friends” of Stewart’s contributed more money to the cause.
Harvick was a special guest last night, and the two talked about their wreck at Bristol Motor Speedway. Then, it came time for the bet to be paid off. J.D. Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing, called in and pitched another $15,000 if ChiaTony would also wax his neck. The total raised was $125,000.
http://www.sirius.com/nascar has not only photos (also shown below) but also audio from the show. The second link, the one with the “back wax montage”? I wouldn’t listen to that one too close to meal time.
Here are the promised photos:
Fellow T-D sports reporter Andee Sears suggested another charitable donation: sending Stewart’s back hair to Locks of Love. She figured they could provide eyebrows or even a shorter hairstyle for those who have lost hair.
The show is rebroadcast on Sirius channel 128 today at 11 p.m. and Thursday at 10 p.m. if the above highlights aren’t enough for you.
