Shimano North American Handmade Bicycle Show could be huge
Andy Thompson
Feb 06, 2010

When I talked to Don Walker, owner/promoter of the Shimano NAHBS, a couple of weeks ago for a column, he suggested 6,500-7,000 attendees for the show (starting Feb. 26 at the Richmond Convention Center) would be a good turnout. Recent events suggest the show could even bigger. Here’s part of a recent press release:

2010 Shimano NAHBS All Booth Spaces Sold!
The sixth annual edition of the Shimano North American Handmade Bicycle Show is proving to be another banner year. The show has attracted a title sponsor, sold all 177 booth spaces to 131 exhibitors, and international exhibitors are up by73%. We would like to thank everybody who has supported the show thus far, and let y’all know that you’re in for a really great show this year!

Personally, there isn’t a person I’ve spoken to in the Richmond bicycling community who isn’t fired up for the show. Show be a great time.
