Sadler likely out of No. 19, for now, due to injury

Elliott Sadler is apparently incapable of sitting right now without extreme pain after a “sporting injury” suffered Wednesday. Because of that, Gillett Evernham Motorsports has lined up Craftsman Truck Series driver Dennis Setzer as a backup.
Reading between the lines, I wouldn’t put any money on Sadler being in the car much this weekend, if at all.
Sadler is obviously not available for comment, and Ray Evernham is nowhere to be seen. Vice President of Competition Mark McArdle came in and met with us media folks to answer our questions.
It happened Wednesday, they figured out yesterday it wasn’t getting any better anytime soon, and they’re leaving everything up to Sadler as the weekend goes on to see how he feels and if he can be in the car.
When asked if we should assume the plan was to have Sadler start the race on Sunday to pick up the points, McArdle said, “Right now, nothing is assured.”
