Run Like a Girl

Looks like the first Montrail “Run Like a Girl” 8K was a big success. Kurt Peterson, who coordinated the event for Blue Ridge Mountain Sports said there were 392 registered racers, including a 7-year-old girl and a 70-year-old woman. Here’s his blog entry on it, which includes pictures and results.

I wish I could take all the credit, but much of the thanks for the race goes to Paul Curran with Montrail and the race organizer, Mark Junkerman, that made the race such a fantastic success. Not to mention all the volunteers!

A good question, Jenson. Ruby had a previous commitment—squirrel chasing competition—and was unable to make it down to Pocahonmtas State Park. For more Ruby check out the slideshow that accompanies today’s Outdoors column.
