No doubt, UR has chance for at-large bid

That’s done. UR’s basketball schedule for the upcoming season has all opponents set, though finalized dates and times won’t be available for another six weeks or so.
Sixteen Atlantic 10 Conference games (two with George Washington, Saint Louis and Charlotte, one each with all other league opposition) are complemented by perhaps the toughest non-league schedule in school history. Wake Forest, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Florida are on the agenda for a Spiders’ team that returns four starters and 6-9 Dan Geriot (out with knee injury last season) from a group that went 20-16.
Richmond also may face Missouri in the South Padre Island Invitational. With this schedule - in non-conference competition UR also plays Lehigh, VMI, UNC Wilmington, Old Dominion, UNC Greensboro, Longwood, Chattanooga, VCU, Bucknell and William and Mary -  the Spiders have a legitimate chance to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.
They’re strength-of-schedule number will be very good. UR plays most of its tough games away from the Robins Center. And remember, Richmond will also be playing Xavier and Dayton, plus a few other quality league opponents. Now, UR needs to beat a few of those well-regarded teams to make a run at the NCAAs.
Here’s an odd catch to the schedule. UR may face ODU twice in a five-day stretch. UR and ODU will be playing in a scheduled game and could meet again at the South Padre Island Invitational.
