Andy et al,

There was indeed an MOU signed by all three parties (RA_MORE, Friends of FHP, and City).

I know this because I was one of the signers. I can also confirm that the wording of both the ‘new’ and the ‘old’ MOU are, as someone else has already pointed out, identical in many ways.

You can confirm the existence of the previous MOU with the two RA MORE members who also signed (Keith and Woody), and/or with the Parks and Rec. staff members that had signed the document as well.

That version of the MOU was scrapped a few months after it was signed, when it became apparent that there was confusion over which map, or plan, for trail re-alignment was to be followed.

Amy,
The new MOU is nearly identical to the previous one. In fact, the segment about trail maintenance guidelines/rules IS identical to the previous MOU.

Amy,

From what I was told, Richmond MORE and Friends of FHP never signed an MOU back in 2006-2007 because they disagreed over the map of propsed trails to be built. MORE wanted more trails and the Friends wanted less. At least that’s what I’ve been told by a couple of different people. It’s possible the two groups had an agreement before then, but I’ve never heard of it.

The MOU is great news…it’s about time, too!! just out of curiosity, tho, how does it vary from the one that we had with Friends of Forest Hills?
