Hokies land fourth football commitment

Jun 18, 2010

Virginia Tech’s football team has received its fourth commitment for the Class of 2011.

It came from Adeboye Aromire, a 6-foot, 192-pound cornerback from H.D. Woodson High in Washington, D.C. Aromire also had scholarship offers from Buffalo, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina and West Virginia, according to recruiting website Rivals.com. Rivals ranks him as the 31st-best corner in his class.

Aromire attends the same high school as Ricardo Young, who will be a freshman quarterback at Tech this fall. Young graduated early and enrolled in January so he could participate in spring practices.

The Hokies’ other commitments are defensive tackle Kris Harley, safety Ronny Vandyke and tight end Christian Reeves. Recruits can’t sign national letters of intent with a school until Feb. 2.
