The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries recently released its annual forecasts, a great resource for Virginia anglers. The report includes a walleye forecast, a smallmouth bass river forecast and a tidal river largemouth bass forecast (in PDF form). The forecasts include a history of specific fisheries and the science behind why the department thinks each one will be up down or unchanged this year.
