Dryers are on the track…dryers are on the track!

Cup practice ended about 30 minutes early, and Nationwide practice never started thanks to rain. However, the dryers are on the track. There appears to be a gap in the radar, but some more rain forming to the southwest. So, depending on how this shakes out, we may get qualifying in after all. It’s supposed to start at 3:40 p.m. I’ll keep you updated.
Tomorrow? That’s looking a little more questionable. Here’s the weather.com breakdown for Bristol, Tenn.: “Scattered thunderstorms in the morning becoming more widespread in the afternoon. A few storms may be severe. High 64F. NNE winds shifting to SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.“
Yowsa. We could get an unplanned NASCAR night race at Bristol.
Sunday looks clear, though. So keep your fingers crossed.
