Complete results of ACC preseason media poll; Hokies picked to win league

The ACC preseason media poll is to be taken with a grain of salt large enough to cause severe hypertension.
Since 2000, the league’s media vultures are 5-5 with picking the champion. Since expansion to 12 teams in 2005, the media has had 10 chances to pick the winner of the Atlantic and Coastal divisions. They did it correctly four times: 2005, when Florida State won the Atlantic and Virginia Tech won the Coastal; 2007, when Tech won the Coastal; and 2008, when Tech won the Coastal again. Last season, the media picked Tech to beat Florida State in the conference championship game. Georgia Tech wound up beating Clemson.
If nothing else, this makes for interesting bar-stool conversation, so here you go (first-place votes in parantheses) ...
