It is a gorgeous day out here at the Bosch Engineering 250 race weekend. Sadly for me, the scenery will involve only the cars and the beautiful landscape, as McDreamy himself—- Patrick Dempsey—- will not be racing this weekend. Apparently he has some movie premiere to go to. I say he needs to get his priorities straight.

I’m excited about this weekend as it’s the first time I’ll get to cover the Rolex Series. I’ve always loved the Daytona Prototype (so cute!), and I’m ready to see them in action.

My colleague Ralph N. Paulk is holding things down at Talladega, and we’re all gearing up for next week’s race at RIR. You have until Monday to send me your favorite memories from RIR…don’t delay!
