Reader and local triathlete/adventure racer Bill Swann brought this to my attention. I’m going to include it in the calendar section of the Friday Outdoors page, but I think it deserves a wider audience.

annual Banff Mountain Film Festival to over 250 communities around the world. Traveling from remote landscapes and cultures to up close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the film festival is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world. This event is Saturday, 6:30 p.m. at Monacan High School and is free.
