6:03 a.m.?

Those of you who know me realize I’m not much of a morning person. So when the alarm rang at 6:03 this morning, I was not amused (and since when do ocean waves pass as a real alarm?). I did my best to stay up to see the finish of the Formula One Japan race, but failed (Fernando Alonso won again, and Lewis Hamilton was in early trouble for those of you interested). So….we’ve had some coffee and life is good. As I write this, the stage is being readied for ESPN2’s “NHRA Race Day.“ You can check it out at 11:30 a.m. if you’re interested.
So, I’m trucking down I-95 a little bit ago, and a group of people are beside me looking over at me. I get laughed at a lot, just not usually going 60 mph. I have XM radio in the car (mainly for the NHL games), and on occasion I pick up the signal of others who do as well. I think that’s what happened here. The XM was on, but I was actually listening to local radio. So I looked at the XM to see what was on (I listen to a variety of music), and I was on the 90’s channel and New Kids on the Block was rocking. Nothing I could do. I was branded by this point. Hopefully they weren’t race fans on the way to Virginia Motorsports Park. And if they are, I hope I don’t run into them today. Would I listen to Debbie Gibson? Sure. NKOTB? I don’t think so.
In any event, we’re here and we’re ready for action. I’ll do my best to keep you updated throughout the day. Now, however, breakfast awaits. Enjoy your NFL Sunday, everyone. Talk to you soon…..
