Brazilian Tony Kanaan stayed in front and won tonight’s SunTrust Indy Challenge at Richmond International Raceway.
By the race’s finish his Andretti Green team car was almost five seconds ahead of second-place finisher Helio Castroneves’ Team Penske car.
The last 150 laps were more like what I expected. Cool, calculated racing. Some good moves.
I’d like to think they can race with 26 Indy cars on this track, but tonight half the field was gone before they settled down and did some sustained racing.
Next entry: 11 p.m. -- The future of the IndyCar Series at RIR
Previous entry: 9:50 p.m. -- Finally, a stretch of racing.
