Joe Perry hinted on his Twitter page last night that Steven Tyler is the injured Aerosmith member – and the reason behind the band postponing several shows, including Sunday’s appearance at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater.
Thanks to Samantha Adams, a morning show DJ at WKUZ in Wabash, Indiana, who happened to notice Perry’s Tweets and sent them my way.
The messages (under Perry’s Twitter account name of AdmiralPerry) read (in all of their ungrammatical and spelling-challenged glory):
“They say there is a reason for everything. We will see.Still trying to rock each day of my life n yours.”
“I was looking 4ward to playing all venues.Especially Virgina B. for the inlisted people.Really miss you down there.N Brads pu in Raliegh”
“Sincere apologies out 2 all Aero Fans regarding the cancled shows. It really bums me out too- you have no idea.Pray 4 Stevens speedy return.”
Perry later Tweeted that he didn’t mean to use the word “cancel,” and that the band hopes to reschedule these dates, “as long as Steven is able.”
Sounds awfully cryptic, no?
