Ever since Elliott Yamin turned his post-“American Idol” life into a legitimate career, fans have wondered when he would have an official Web site.
The E-Train Station (http://www.etrainstation.com) – primarily a message board – has existed for a couple of years, and the folks who post daily updates and manage those message boards really have done yeomen’s work that deserves the highest kudos. But now E has a slick, colorful, “official” site at http://www.officialelliottyamin.com. It’s still a bit bare at the moment, but fans can peek at a few new photos of Yamin and also buy a rather cool-looking retro T-shirt for $25 through the Yamin It Merchandise link. Even though there is still much work to be done to make the site an essential destination for fans, it’s about time the guy had an online presence on par with his peers. After all, his second album coming in May will be a critical determination of his future. I’ll actually be out in L.A. this weekend – where Yamin recently bought a home – and hope to catch up with him, so stay tuned for more Elliott details! This is wonderful news! Hope that you can catch up with Elliott! Can’t wait for more good news! Nancy

Feb. 4, 2009 at 11:27 AM It is great news that he FINALLY has an offical site. I wish it the best of luck. I hope it is kept up to date. I do think they should keep the myspace, myspace can be a great vehicle if used properly. Something Elliott and his team have not done. As for the E-train. It is good for what it does, but lets remember there are more fans out there than just those who post there. One site did not give him his career. Alot of uber-fab people there and they do deserve some credit for keeping the word out. Angela
Feb. 4, 2009 at 11:29 AM Hi Melissa! Always love your write ups about Elliott! As a fan since the beginning, let me say I’m thoroughly excited a new website has been launched. Like they say, better late than never. And hey, while you’re out in LA and hopefully hook up with the Man himself, tell him he really needs to start a NEW fan forum on his NEW website. He needs to attract NEW fans to get involved for further success. It’s how most artists websites are set up too. JMO. Lori
