Records allege cause of Henrico fight
A search warrant in the case alleges that David Allen Nelson Jr., 18, was sexually involved with a young girl and was confronted about it June 2. An ensuing fight involving Nelson and at least three men resulted in the fatal stabbing of 27-year-old Anthony Goins and the wounding of two men with him, according to the records. The fight began near an upstairs apartment where Nelson sometimes lived in the 5900 block of Queens Thorpe Court, near Three Lakes Park, and moved to a parking lot, where Goins died. Another victim was taken to VCU Medical Center and survived. Nelson is facing a charge of malicious assault, but authorities have said the charges will be upgraded. He is being held without bail. |
