Petersburg suspect caught in Chesterfield Thursday,January 15, 2009 A man wanted in last week’s shooting death in Petersburg was arrested yesterday afternoon in Chesterfield County, Petersburg police said. Norman Jose Carcamo Arias, who police said is believed to be between 22 and 25 years old, was charged with murder in the slaying of Josiel Venturi Garcia-Orbina, who was found dead in the Summit Pointe apartment complex on Norman Street about 2 a.m. Friday. Police spokeswoman Esther Hyatt said no motive has been established in the killing, and Arias’ connection to the victim is being investigated. Police did not provide a local address for Arias, who authorities said is a native of Honduras. He is being held without bond pending a hearing in Petersburg General District Court. She said police from Richmond, Chesterfield County and the U.S. Marshals Service assisted in Arias’ arrest. |
