Henrico police await autopsy results in apparent homicide Henrico County police are awaiting autopsy results in an apparent homicide in the 1800 block of Oak Hill Lane off Mechanicsville Turnpike, officials said yesterday. Police were alerted to the area Wednesday night by an anonymous caller but were unable to find any evidence of a crime. But at 3:26 p.m. Thursday, a call from an ex-fiancée who was concerned for her friend’s safety brought police to a home at Oak Hill and Rosser Road, Lt. Doug Perry said. Neighbors said Darius Poston, 37, lived alone in the home and had grown up there, but police could not confirm whether he was the victim. Perry said autopsy results would help authorities confirm the victim’s identity and determine the cause of death. |
