Notes
As required by FOIA law, state agencies provided salary information for 100,978 employees in October and early November. The Times-Dispatch is using this data in an ongoing series of articles and to create this searchable database.
We opted to exclude the names of state employees whose total compensation is less than the statewide average of about $50,410.
Colleges and universities choose what to report to DHRM regarding employees who are paid through endowments or other sources outside of state tax dollars.
Some part-time employees may not be included. Years of service are rounded to the nearest year, as of 11/1/2010.
